ILog.vb, WriteLog proceedure Implementation

One of Microsoft's VB code samples is a solution called Logger (or WinLogger).
It has a file associated with the "Logging" project called ILog.vb.
In the module, interface or whatever it's called (haven't really figured
that part out yet) is a sub proc called WriteLog. The WriteLog subproceedure
has no code associated with it (here anyway).
The Writelog sub proc is referenced in the logging project and the winlogger
project. Both places have code in the proceedure.
Why does ILog.vb exist? And why list a proceedure with no code?
Please keep it simple, I'm having trouble switching over to .net.

Hello friends, We have used ILOG Views with our C++ code to develop GUI for the client-server system. Our server is using ODBMS (ObjectStore) and we have Corba Server (written in C++) to handle database access. Client makes corba connection with the Corba server to access database. Our next step is to develop Web Client with the intention of providing the same look-and-feel given by ILOG Views. and hopefully minimal change at the corba...

I have a form based application that inputs values into various oracle tables, after it has done this I want to call a stored proceedure in Oracle which is already written to do more work on this data, it does not return any values to vb nor does it expect any criteria or input. I already have a connection to Oracle open using the following code: Dim objcnn As New Data.OracleClient.OracleConnection(ConnectStr) Dim objcom As...

The intention is to call a stored proceedure which sets flags in the database, this requires no parameters and the page does not need an output from the stored proceedure, though is this is necessary I could change that. Here is the code I am using: Dim objcom2 = New Data.OracleClient.OracleCommand With objcom2 .Connection = objcnn

I'm a bit new to asp. What I'm looking to doing is having three input boxes on a page. As an example I would like for the user to input a employee ID in the first input box and then wither press enter or onblur it would call a proceedure that would get data from an access DB and display the employees first and last name in the other two input boxes. I know the code I need to get the data from the DB but I don't know

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
