Starting process without Process.Start

To all,
I am trying to spawn a Windows Media Player instance with/without a
playlist. The problem I am having is with Process.Start. I don't want the
cmd.exe to spawn the program and just sit there waiting to be told to go
away. Is there any way to get it to go away automatically or to just call
the Windows Media Player executable directly?

Suggestions?

Suppose you have one domain, filled with a couple of users. What needs to be done now is I need to start a windows application from a webform by pressing a button on the webform (for example). How do you programatically start a process...

Overview: We're creating a ASP.NET app in C# that calls some C# programs we've created. Our DB server is on a w2k3 machine and using our w2k machines as our web server. Without setting an Identity in the web.config we can not access the DB on the w2k3 machine at all. So a temporary solution we had was to use the w2k3 machine as the DB and Web...

I have written a C# application which should run as a Windows Service. I am using VS2005 (vb) and I have a program that starts when Windows boots up. Occasionally the icon that should appear in the system tray does not show up. Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. ...
