Did you add a DataGridTableSt yle with teh proper mappingname to your
datagrid before you tried to use the columnstyles?

George Shepherd's Windows Forms FAQ contains an entry entitled:

How do I set the width of a column in my DataGrid?

Check it out at:

I know it's dumb ... sometimes frustrating I want the text and a dropdownlist align with both side of a table cell, i.e. text align left and dropdownlist align right. I cannot add more cells to do format because it's in a Datagrid pager area. The html code generated for pager is one sigle cell with lots of colspan. I tried to add some html elements in between text and dropdownlist, for example table iframe and p but I cannot achieve...

I just wrote code to support sortable columns in a datagrid. It seems to work fine; but, it doesn't look right. The problem is that I have a generic style for links and a different style for the header row - and they conflict. The sortable column apparently uses the generic style for <a> elements and the rest of the header uses "headerRow". Can anyone tell me how to get consistent styles for each column in my datagrid header?

1) How do I make the contents of a Windows datagrid editable while at the same time preventing new rows from being added? 2) How do I align the contents of a column align-right, but the header of that same column align-left?

Hi, I have the following datagrid with manually entered rows. I want to align the values of the second column only - 'more tax' - to the center, but i can not seem to do this. The first column i want left aligned - as is. I can align both columns any way together but not one on its own. I can not use the property builder of the datagrid as the columns are not listed in this as the dg columns are created from a datatable.

Hi, I created a datagrid with several columns, one has text align right, however, the last letter of the column head is hard to see. I tried to add some spaces but they are supressed at the run time, I want to know how to add some spaces at the end of the head text, or is it possible to set text align center for the head and text align center for the data on this column? thanks in advance

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it. First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
