Recent Files not updated

In VS.net 2003, my recent files list will not update the Date.

If I open a project from the list, modify it and close... the next time I
load VS.net, the project shows the same old date.

It DOES add new items to the list, but the date never changes for those
items either... it retains the creation date of the project.

(Don't know if this makes any difference, but I do have VS.net 2002 loaded
as well).

BTW,
I noticed that while the DATE is not updated, it is moved to the top of the
list of projects in the File Menu>>Recent Projects.
It's the home page listing of recent project's that's not being updated
(file remains at the same point in the list, and the date does not change)

I hope this is the right NG, please notify me if not. I have got a problem with the "recent files" list of the start page in VS.NET: yesterday I created a new projekt which has the same name as an already existing project stored at another location. Unfortunately, VS.NET doesn't seem to support double names in the "recent files" list: only /one/ entry with the double name is listed and even more unfortunate, it is the one which I don't...

Here's what I know so far: You have a C++ project. You have source files in it. When you go to compile it, first thing the preprocessor sticks the header files into each source file. So now you have your ".cpp" files all ready, without any "#include" or "#define" in them. Let's assume that there's 2 source files in this project, "a.cpp" and

Hello, have you seen a recent files menu in a GUI application? In many GUI applications there's a menu the displays the most recent files that has been opened by the program. Say such a menu has four entries and the most recent file is displayed on top and the oldest at the bottom. New entries are added at the top, pushing the oldest of the list. I wrote a class which I've named CircularContainer (please help me think of a better name!)...

Is it possible to remove all or individual "recent files" from the "Recent files list" in MS Access XP? It would be preferred to be a programatic method using VBA as the system is locked down tight and editing registry will not be an option. I am trying to have code run when closing "database x" to ensure "database x" does not appear in the recent files list.

It's me and my registration page again. I have a subroutine that calculates the total fees the registrant will incur and puts it in a textbox (not a label because it has to be passed to another page). txtTotalFees.Text = Format(dblTotalFees, "Currency") The subroutine works fine IF I call it from PageLoad, or I assign it to a button for recalculating the total fees, or the user clicks the Reset button, or if they click a control that...

I have an application where I need to find the most recent file placed in a folder. For example, my users periodically place an image file with the format "ImageXXXX.jpg" (where XXXX is some arbitrary number) and I need to get the latest file in the folder. Does anyone have a .NET solution to this problem. Any help would be greatly appreciated Thanks, Lee

Most applications whose purpose is to work with various types of files implement a "Most Recent Files" list, where the last, say, four files accessed by the application can quickly be re-opened by clicking on the file name in the File menu. Thist list is usually just above the typical Exit menu item. I take it there is no "automatic" way of implementing this, that each application has to have code that manually does this. I have a good...

Hi All I have a major problem with an access query and I am near the end of my tether! I have taken over a project with a badly built access database and as resources are not available to start over I have to make do and cobble together a fix. DB is design to record customer reviews . It was built as 1 table with 1 line per review. So as you can imagine you can have several reviews for the same customer over time.

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it. First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
