A_I field always 8388607

228 100+
it is a new table with an A_I field as a primary key. It is innodb table too. The table has foreign keys to two tables and it is a primary table in one relationship.

Now when i try to insert data, it inserts the first record only as 8388607. All tables are new so I can't figure out why it didnt even start from 1. Recreating it didn't help.

But more importantly I really want to to learn about this behaviour.
