Downloading MySQL

P: 33
i am curious about this so called mysql so i decided to give it a try using it here in our office rather than installing a microsoft product. so i go ahead @ http://dev.mysql.com/downloads/mysql/ to grab a copy of it but i dont know which installer/zip archive i am going to download. maybe i could download them all then try using it one by one but that would be painful on my part since im on a very limited speed. So, to cut the story short i want an alternative to mssql and sql management studio. Btw, im running x64 so probably ill get the the x64 one, but which one.. The zip or the msi?
Thanks

If you are going to try 'MySQL' than i would download this
MySQL Installer 5.6.20

Given the note on that page ("Note: MySQL Installer is 32 bit, but will install both 32 bit and 64 bit binaries") you should not worry about if it's 32 or 64 bit right now.

Can you give the reason for looking into an alternative?
(just curious ;)
