which feature was introduced in which version / backward compatibility

25
Is there a place which lists when various MySQL features were introduced?

I'm using 4.0, and I'd like to convince the higher powers to upgrade to at least 5 - so I can have stored procedures, triggers and subqueries.

Also, if we upgrade, will we have any issues? Or are all the versions backward compatible?

you could try the "what's new" site (http://dev.mysql.com/doc/refman/5.1/...-nutshell.html) of the manuals.
