Minimal build configuration for mySQL

Hi All,

I'm building an embedded system and in need of bringing mySQL into my
embedded controller. Here is what I need:

+ A minimal mySQL database configuration that supports:
-> API for C program
-> multi-process/concurrency (one process can read the
database meanwhile other processes can write into it instantaneously)
-> Support PHP
+ My embedded controller run Linux/i386 compatibility 166MHz
and can support upto 256 MB of compact flash.

I understand that mySQL has some sort of database library for embedded
but I do want to run a live database on my embedded controller (for
later upgrade scaling purposes). So, I know I have to follow the
following steps

1. Download source code for Linux
2. run configure (with options)
3. Install it

My question is laying in step (2) where I need what options to include
in order to build a minimal mySQL database.

If anyone does this before or have any pointer/info then please let me
know. I deeply appreciate all help in advance.

My contact email address is kh**********@yahoo.com. Please feel free
to forward any related info to my mailbox.
Regards,
Khue Pham
