I figured out the answer to my own question above. But the value of
Update_time looks something like this: 2004-09-04 12:31:26. How do I
convert it to September 4, 2004? I've look for and played around with PHP
and MySQL functions, and nothing seems to do it.

I need to place the date a MySQL table was last updated into a PHP
variable. SHOW TABLE STATUS provides lots of information, including update_time, for
all of my tables. But how do I assign the value of update_time for my
"members" table into the variable $dateLastUpdated?
Thanks!
