Checking on NPTL Fix

http://bugs.mysql.com/bug.php?id=868

Red Hat suggests the LD_ASSUME_KERNEL and the
"nosysinfo" parameter on boot as two ways to disable the
NPTL support (on RH9 and FC2, probably others).

How can I, for example go the "nosysinfo" route, and check
that the NPTL support was actually disabled? I have found
tons of documentation on what commands to run to disable
it, but nothing on how to "verify" that you actually did change
the system. (Sometimes its nice to actually see proof.)

Thanks,
Scott Moseman
