LOAD DATA odd failure

Using this code from phpMyAdmin 2.5.6-rc1 :

LOAD DATA LOCAL INFILE '/tmp/phpcqKlrN' REPLACE INTO TABLE `pics`
FIELDS TERMINATED BY ','
ENCLOSED BY '"'
ESCAPED BY '\\'
LINES TERMINATED BY '\r\n'
Results in both fields in the text file going into the first field in
the table .In other words a row of data in the text file (a record) ends
up smushed together in the first field of the MYSQL table.
Text data looking like "ford", "red" ; ends up looking like
ford","red -
I've tried variations ...
Text file is off a windows machine , going into my ISP's linux machine ...
