Help needed : Problems with WinMySqlAdmin

Hi to all,

a few days ago I installed MySql 5.0 alpharelease (on WinXP). Works
fine. I also decided to use WinMySqlAdmin, which starts and stops the
Database korrect.
But it seems, that the tool has no root access to the database. I can
not maintain or even view structure tables. But I can see the database
I defined.

following is the content of the my.ini file.

[mysqld]
basedir=E:/Programmieren/MySql5
bind-address=127.0.0.1
datadir=E:/Programmieren/MySql5/data
language=E:/Programmieren/MySql5/share/german
port=3306
set-variable=key_buffer=16M
[WinMySQLadmin]
Server=E:/Programmieren/MySql5/bin/mysqld-nt.exe
user=root
QueryInterval=10

User root has no password and works from other Applications (e.g. Open
Office). Can anybody imagine why I am not able to even view the
structure of the tables?

Thanks in advance for your help.
