MyODBC connection dies during data transfer

jj
I've got a table of about 400,000 records but when I transfer it from Access
to MySQL, the ODBC connection dies around 3,000 records or so (or about
3-5mins) with this error:

ODBC -- call failed

[MySQL][ODBC 3.51 Driver][mysqld-3.23.41] Lost connection to MySQL server
during query (#2013)

Once this error occurs, the table and uploaded records are removed from
MySQL.
But I've transferred other tables with a few thousand records just fine.
One query even runs for about 10 minutes or more with no problem.

Any ideas?
