track and trace help we are growing

Hi all,

I work for a 5 man company selling track and trace service over the
internet.
I'm the only full time software guy.

We are growing, and I can see soon we are going to start hitting BIG
problems, we aren't make any money yet. This doesn't help as I think
we need a real MYSQL + Internet guru guy.

So my option was this hoping to get some simple answers I can use to
before It get out of hand.

We have one server running our software and we just bought another.

So can it be setup that both servers have there own database, and
update each others database. This means if something happens to one
server this other can take over the other.

I was thinking to make it customer based with server to logon to.

And is this a good idea?
Pointers what to look into..
