remote connection with a noob

can anyone tell me how to get mysql to start at bootup and what file
to edit to alow remote connections.

Assuming you have a database called "database" and you want to allow
user "user" connect it with all rights from ip address 192.168.0.2

As a root type in mysql console:

GRANT ALL ON database.* TO us**@192.168.0.2 IDENTIFIED BY "password";
