Im new to mysql... I Would like to learn from scratch. So what should i look
for on the internet and what would be handy for a beginner to start with??

Hmmm, how much of a beginner? what O/S?
From scratch.. Newbie.. Very NEWBIE uhh how do you say it... if you say
MySQL im like... Whut?? (I know what mysql is but just an example) so i
wanna learn it all! from scratch.. O/S: NT4.0 (I know old but it works)
