can I have MySQL on my PC ????

Hi
I'm just started to look at MySQL today
and what confuses me is that it seems to be a
program for a server ??
I'm using WindowsXP-pro.

of course you can. download the mysql 4.x version (stable release) and
install it. then run the winmysqladmin.exe. to administrate the tables you
create download mysql cc. its pretty simple actually.
dont let the word server irritate you - usually a dbase environment needs a
server program.
