total newbe: some basic q

Hi
I have made a database with Access2002/XP, my very first database.
Unfortunnaly my webhotel do not support Access and recomend MySQL.
Now is MySQL a database-program I can have on my own PC and
can I transfer data from Access2002/XP to MySQL
