where are my tables?

Hi,

I have moved a database from one instance of MySQL to another using
mysqldump. The new database works fine, however, when I run show
tables or try to run mysqldump on it, the database looks like it only
has one table. Using command line MySQL I can select from the missing
tables, but still see nothing when running "show tables". Has anyone
seen this before? Is there any way to recover from this state?

Thanks,

John
