Windows 98 shutdown problem

Hi All!

Recently I installed mysql on a win98. Some 2 days after the
installation the system started experiencing a problem shutting
down. When shutting down the hard-disk kept spinning sometimes
as
long as 10 minutes.

The same problem was encountered on another win98 computer.

The system is working well with win2000 though.

Kindly help on this.

TIA
Shailesh

Are you sure its MySQL? Are you using MySQL on a Windows98 box as a server?
This would not be recommended.

Before shutting down your Windows98 box, do a single CTRL+ALT+DEL to see the
Task Manager window - This will tell you what is running - You should only
have Explorer and Systray - If anything else is running, either close it
down or perform an End Task... then try and shut it down...
