I installed a Apache 2.0.47, PHP 4.3.2 and MySQL 3.23.38 on windows2000 and
I installed a forum on which I enabled the feature to upload files. Together
with some friends of mine I make music and they all travel alot, so a forum,
on which we could chat ánd keep in touch with our family and at the same
time upload our newly created music seemed a good solution, only the problem
is, MySQL doesn't seem to be able to handle files bigger than, say, 750k. I
haven't tried many different filesizes, but 500k worked fine and 1.2 mb
didn't (now matter how long it took, I tried it on localhost so the files
would upload in a few seconds, but it still didn't accept). When I installed
the forum, an automatic script created the DB for me, could it have anything
to do with its size? I already tweaked PHP so it would accept large files
that take a long time to upload, but I keep getting unspecified DB-errors
(in which the complete file is being displayed). I have very little
knowledge of MySQL. Could anyone please help?
