mysql replication binlog issue

1
I am replicating information from one server (master) to another (slave) using MYSQL replication. I have it set up, and works fine other than the fact that I have to do a "USE dbname" as opposed to "update in dbname.foobar set foo=1" for example. Is there any way around this?

thanks,
james
