Why don't you have a look first in the standard MySQL documentation, available to anyone at http://dev.mysql.com/doc/refman/4.1/...tallation.html

I still fail to understand what you are looking for.
Is the dba the DataBase Administrator? If not: what is it then? And what do you mean by the dba requirement?

As said before, please explain what you are looking for.

Ronald, I think that barrathi wants to know what will be required to become a professional database admin.

Barrathi, if this is so, your school or college will be able to help you with this question. For me, I do not admin, I design (which makes me admin for just one user), it takes good books, lots of study and lots of practice. For most people it takes AT LEAST two years of college level courses.
