Inconsistent Caching

Hello,

I'm running into some inconsistent query caching. Has anyone run into
this and has a solution or better place to look?

All of my queries don't violate the caching terms (no Now() or other
mysql reserve words), so it is unclear what is happening. Even when I
do simple lookups, I'll get the query caching after the first lookup,
but then within the next 2 or 3 minutes, it has to hit the database
again and the speed benefit is gone.

Any help here would be great.

mysql> SHOW STATUS LIKE '%cache%';
