Hi there,

First of all your user account need to have to permission to create new password. Which MySQL GUI are you using at the moment? Try phpMyAdmin, it's the most simplest way to administer MySQL server. Good luck & Take care.

I am a developer working on a database client program. I am testing this program on a Windows XP machine (1.5 GHz AMD chip, 480 Mb RAM, 60 Gb disk) This machine has Oracle and RedBrick database software installed. I am testing the software by creating small test databases. If I create an Oracle database using the Database Configuration Assistant, it takes forever just to create the database. If I choose to create a new database...

Greetings all, This should be an easy task, and Im sure it is, but as many times as I have tried, I cant seem to get this to work properly. We changed ISPs recently from a shared host to a co-located server, and our former host was nice enough to send us a backup of our old SQL2000 database (about 5MB). I went into Enterprise Manager, created an empty database with the same name

But when I use SqlDataSource object to bind data from the same database to the GridView everything is ok (using the same connection string and SqlClient provider). And on top of that I don't know why does this error refer to SQLExpress??? And it wants to create an mdf...

How does everyone design the database access layer in an asp.net application? Two options that come to mind is: 1. create a database class and instanciate it as needed, local to a function or 2. Provide database access in a base class from which all objects that need db access will inherit from. #1 seems wasteful for application that do frequent but light db access. Option #2 seems even more wasteful, because it adds overhead to the

When my app starts up, it creates a temporary database. This temp database is created from a 'model' database that is in the same folder as the application. Because there is a model, the creation is essentially to just copy the 'model' database and give it the name of the application with the extension ".tmp". Then code opens the temp database and links to the tables. This has always worked flawlessly until today. Today, I needed to...

The ETL application loaded around 3000 rows in 14 seconds in a Development database while it took 2 hours to load in a UAT database. UAT db is partitioned. Dev db is not partitioned. the application looks for existing rows in the table...if they already exist then it updates otherwise inserts them. The table is pretty large, around 6.5 million rows.

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
