iPhone 4S issue with software upgrade

I recently upgraded to the newest software but my email notifications are very delayed. What is causing this? Push is still turned on.

Really depends on how you set it up? Who is your email provider? If it's gmail like a lot of people, did you use the gmail option or did you set it up as exchange service.

Setting it up as exchange service is how to get most instant emails and responses.
