find the code of micro sd card

Hi to all, I am new to this.. I am having a problem and I hope I can find the solution here.
I have a micro-sd card in mobile phone. The card has been inserted into another mobile and by mistake my friend set the code to it. How could I find that code. Card is working in his phone, but asking the code for my mobile. Please help me.

Hi bajishareef and welcome to bytes.com!

You mean that the card is now encrypted and you are asked for the encryption code, right? Well, if the encryption is any good it won't be easy to break (plus we wouldn't help you do that here anyway, that would be against the site guidelines), but your friend might be able to find out what the code was so you can either decrypt it for good or enter that code on your phone. To help you with that however, we would have to know what kind of phone your friend uses.

OK, well I spent quite a while looking for forme mobile because I've never heard of them and couldn't find any phone manuals or even a website for the company, just people selling their phones so I'll have to do some guessing here.

In general, there are two possible solutions: Find the code and enter it into your phone or somehow remove the card. I was hoping to find instructions on how to identify the code online but sadly I couldn't find anything, so to get the code your friend would have to search for it on his phone. It will probably be in some settings menu with a title like "Security", "Safety", "Protection" or something like that. If he can find it then you enter it into your phone and it will be fine. Alternatively, he might find an option to remove the encryption in a similar menu.

If that doesn't work I can think of only one other option: Saving the data from the card to some other device (e.g. a different phone or a computer) by transferring it in some way that decrypts the files like maybe by Bluetooth or possibly when the phone is connected to a PC via USB you will be able to access the decrypted files. When you've done that, reformat the SD card - this could be done by the phone if there's an option like that (there should be somewhere) or by a computer with the help of a card reader and a microSD-to-SD adapter. Then you can put it back into your phone and if that works OK copy the files back to the card.

In any case, you should check the manual for your friends phone and try to find out how to do those things from there (as far as possible). If it's a manual worth the paper it's printed on or the bytes it takes up on some drive (and not all of them are), then it will give you at least some of the information.

Hope that helps,
