Need Advice in using Point of Sale

1 New Member
Good day! Just recently, I've found myself using a certain Point of Sale App (for android). So far I've been really satisfied with it and its usefulness for my business. It really does a multitude of things that is important mostly with customer interaction. I do believe that more people should use it for their retail businesses.

For fellow forum members, do you know some good POS softwares? Or do you know some alternatives that can function in a POS-like manner?

Hi all, I have a large PHP/MySQL application that I am running. I am looking to switch to a new host as my current provider seems to go down a lot. I would much prefer to get a dedicated server so that I can have more control over everything. My problem is this... I have been all over the internet reading reviews for the past 2 hours, and I can't believe how disappointed I am... most of the "most popular" companies as ranked by CNET...

Hello, I have a system that I am writing to automaticly import Credit Transaction data into a SQL Server 2000 Database. I am using a VB.Net application to detect when the file arives and prep it for parsing. The file is aproximately 10Mb of relatively complex hierarchal data that is defined by 2 character tokens at the begining of each data line. The structure breaks out into aproximately 6 parent-child related tables with numerous...

Hello everyone. I need some advice on table structure for a new project I've been given. One of our customers sends us an Excel spreadsheet each week containing their order. Currently, someone formats the spreadsheet, prints it out, and manually picks out the products we need to ship. I want to import this into an Access table. Basically, the sheet with some data examples looks something like this: ...

Hi, I am starting a new job next week. Part of what I am required to do is a "system diagnostic" on a SQL Server 2000 box to determine what areas can use improvement - this would include configuration settings, backup/recovery, sql tuning, etc... and anything else I may not have mentioned here! What I need is a thorough and systematic approach to doing this. Can anyone please give me advice, or point to a FAQ or other links that

Hello All! Still very new to PHP and I was wondering about the easiest and simplest way to go about doing something for a project I am working on. I would simply like advice on what I'm asking so I can go and learn it myself through doing (best way for me). I am building a card game as a learning-project as it involves many (to most of the) things that I would like to learn to do with PHP.

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
