reciving/sending Greek Message via SMPP protocol?

Looking for some guidance on whether SMPP v3.4 will support greek messages or not ? If not how i can recive/send greek message via smpp v3.4, without decreasing length of msg (160) , I know if i encode msg in unicode , the msg length will be decrease upto 70 from 160,

I want to use whole 160 length of the message when reciving and sending greek message through smpp v3.4 without decreasing, (little bit decrement will do)

Which encoding should be used? if u can give me source code in java, it will be great help for me, also pls specify where and how i can use that code?
