detect imie/imia/esn #

Hello All,
I'm writing a script in php/wml, I have some users on my site and some data relevant to each user (wow...-:)).
My problem is that I dont want the users to login each time, I want to be able to detect their ESN / IMEI / IMIA # or some other # that confirm to the server that this number belongs to a registered user and give them their details.

1.I know there is an option with cookies but I dont want it to be done with cookies.
2.There is an option to do with J2ME but I dont want to use this option.

PHP/ASP + WAP.
Thanks in advance.
Dani.

I was doing some reading and though I haven't found an example or tutorial yet, many of the other forums recommend using sessions.js in order to hold the session on the server side.

In your wap/wml you will need to use sessions.getattributes(...) so that it remains server side.

hope this helps

Thanks a lot for the reference BUT,
session ends after the client closes the phone, I need it to stay forever (or until the client wants).
I dont want the client to login each time he enters the site....
Any ideas???
