nitindel
Hi All,
As heard there has been a market slump in the IT Industry...
Is it correct...?
If yes then ...approximately...how much time will it take to be as normal as before???

Thanks

i'm not sure that any of us can tell you when it will return to normal. Just google it and you get tons of good information and reads on it.

Hey if I could predict the stock market I wouldn't be writing posts on this forum, I'd be owning this forum and a luxury yacht, and my own airplane, and dozens of fast cars, and my own island, and a personal submarine, and anything else my little heart desired.

Heya, Nitin.

Macroeconomics, like any sufficiently-advanced technology, is indistinguishable from magic.

I wasn't aware of any slump in the market; if there is one, it will be over when it is over. It might follow the trend of the GNP to some degree; that is, once we pull out of this recession, things will probably pick up in all industries.

The positions are out there; if you're not getting bites, try sharpening up your technical resumé.

I missed out on a shot at a really good job once because I presented the wrong resumé. You can't use your 'standard' resumé for a technical job (and by 'standard' I mean a short anecdote about EVERY job you've ever had).

I ended up changing it up completely. I *removed* all non-technical jobs, and instead of anecdotes, I put down a bulleted list of skills that I developed at each position. I polished it up with a list of highlights from my personal projects and styled it up a tad.

It made a huge difference. I went from maybe one call every other day or so to half a dozen calls per day.
