Anti Spoofing MAC Address

My program's security basically depends on the host PC's MAC Address. Since there are a couple of utilities that can change MAC Address of a Network Card. My question is, under VB 6, is there any way to ....

1. Get the original MAC Address (no matter what changes have been to MAC Address)
2. Or, Forcefully restore the original MAC Address of the NIC.

Thankxs.

I don't think that the real MAC address can be changed. But you can spoof or clone the mac address, but that only affects what the reported mac address is to the network.

If you have hardware access and don't have to go through any software except for the NIC driver I think you would be safe. There should be a Microsoft API that lets you make a kernel call into the driver to report that info.
