I wanted to do something I thought was simple: I have a windows media file playing and when it finishes I want to move on to a new page. I would also prefer there to be a picture, NOT a black spot where the video will initially be...I don't mind a small delay as it buffers.

I thought this was simply a matter of indexing the WM file at the end with a new URL to go to, but what actually happens is it attempts to pop up a new window. I can do it by timing out the page and going to a new URL but that does not account for delays in the initial file buffering.

Things that seem simple and obvious in DVD or video seem a real pain on the internet!

Can anyone offer a solution?

Why WM...well it gives me the best looking result with the smallest file size. The file was much bigger for the same quality with flash, although that may be because I can only encode in flash 6.

I just want an example that works, and I can do the rest!
