Error: Object expected-recieving this error on many sites.

I'm not a tech by any stretch of the imagination but I'm hoping you guys can help. I'm recieving the object expected error on a host of sites but one in particular is bugging me, I know the site itself is fine as I have visited using partners PC same browser etc. It's a poker site and I want to download the software but I cant I keep getting the error. At first I thought it was my pop up blocker but it's not. I have also reinstalled Java in vain and now I'm completely stumped. Any help greatfully recieved.

the issue isn't with you, its with the webpage itself.

Oh ok, I thought it might be, but what threw me was the fact I can visit the site on my partners PC(same browser) with no problem, weird.

Thanks for the help

may be the script-debugging options differ between your and your partners IE? ... is visual studio installed on both of the machines? how does the message appear? do you get a popup or simply see the error on the statusbar?
