macromedia homesite+ error #5

I have recently installed Macromedia Homesite+ on a Vista system.
I have used Homesite 4.5 in the past for all of my php editing.
In Homesite+ when I edit a .php file and try to save it, I get and Error #5. Unable to save filename.php.

Any suggestions? I have not changed any settings. Fresh install and this happens.

Thanks in advance.

Just a followup, this is for any existing files I edit. I can create new ones and they save fine.

Heya, TTC. Welcome to TSDN!

Are you working on remote files, or are these files on your local hard drive?

Thanks for the welcome. They are local files. I can save html but not .php extension. I can copy a php files and past into a blank new file and try to save as the same name even and it will ask me if I want to replace it like it is going to save then return the error. It's really weird. I may do an uninstall and try again but everything else seems to be working fine.

Ok I feel really stupid. So just in case anyone else has this issue they'll know. After I got to thinking that I could save only new files and not make changes to existing files I got the bright idea to check the file permissions. Well I'm in Vista version of windows now which is totally new to me. I have all of my development files on a seperate hard drive (F:). For some reason under the security tab of the drive properties (right click) it had all of the permissions not allowing file modifications. Why this is a default I have no idea. So anyways now we know.
