Can anyone point me to a good comparison of the features of Websphere and Sharepoint?
Hi,
can't give you a full comparison, but some imho very important points: MS Sharepoint only runs on Windows, means you depend on x86 or ia64 architecture.
IBM WebSphere runs on Linux, Aix, Solaris, HP-UX, z/OS, and Windows, means you've got a variety of hardware platforms to choose from. Today and tomorrow.
Furthermore, your WebSphere applications are written in Java, which gives you the opportunity to migrate to another application server (Bea, Sun) if you like/need to.
Regards,
Bernd
