RAS internet radio

P: 1
hello all, for this weekend im working on an internet radio station hookup for my dads store. i have internet feed running into the store and from the computer speaker output i ran that to the stores stereo system. now that works in all but its not reliable, as the station looses connections for many reasons.

so my question to you is if there is any way to make a web based script or some sort of problem to detect if it was disconnected and reconnect it?

would this be possible with a web based script or would this project better be with a windows based program?

im open and welcome all inputs and help, if this is the wrong script forum sorry for that and move me:D

Windows Media player will attempt to restore a connection if you are having internet connectivity problems. If the website you are using for your web based music is using some other kind of player then it will be difficult because their special player may not have an auto-reconnect feature.

Another option is to try to get the URL of the raw feed and try to open that up in a more robust player.
