How about, "Integrating XML into applications for more than buzzword compliance." Management fads are a fact of life, and XML has seen the limelight for some time now. In its wake, it has left scores of
poorly written XML interfaces that did little more than make the programmers' lives difficult without really taking advantage of any of the benefits that XML provides.
Or on a similar note, "Chips and Toast: Getting your apps talking to one another." Propose a standard for allowing applications that may have very different functionality to talk to each other. I'm reminded of nightmares such as
this one.
