Querying a MS Word document?

Hello All,

I have a problem in which I need to pull out information from a Microsoft Word document report. I also need to store the extracted information in an Excel table that can be modified and edited. Does anyone know how this could be done? I have been working on this for two days with no luck. I am not sure what the best way to do this is or if it can be done.

Thank you all in advance!!!

Generally, this type of query falls into the category of Miscellaneoud Questions. But it could be a Visual Basic question if that's the programming language that you are using. Recording a macro that does what you want is a good way to see what the VB code would look like.
Other options include any language that supports COM (such as python).
