this is ravi
i m new to this forum.....

ok coming to the point

i m using database sqlserver n trying to conect through jsp

i installed sql server drivr 2000 in my system

loaded sql sevice pack 4 into system

when try to run my appliication i m getting following error

[Microsoft][SQLServer 2000 Driver for JDBC]Unable to connect. Invalid URL.
my code is:

<%@ page import = "java.io.*" import = "java.lang.*"
import = "java.sql.*" %>

<%
out.println("<h2>Successfully logged </h2>");
try
{
Class.forName("com.microsoft.jdbc.SQLServerDriver" );
Connection con=DriverManager.getConnection("jdbc:microsoft:sq lserver://localhost:1433/ravidata","sa","sa");

Statement st = con.createStatement();

String sql="INSERT INTO ravi1 VALUES ('Michael', 'dba', '90000' )";
st.executeUpdate(sql);


give me advice

Try this:

con=DriverManager.getConnection("jdbc:microsoft:sqlserver://localhost:1433;DatabaseName=ravidata;User=sa;Password=sa");
