Alignment is off on all text related documents

I had virus problems. My pc was "cleaned". During the process, my Office 2003 was deleted and reloaded.
For some reason, literally everything that has text- eg, Office,( Word), Emails etc,- has the text off the visible page, requiring scrolling from side to side to read the complete subject.
I have tried to set it by all the means I can find, but nothing is permanent.
Microsoft tell me to sort it in the file/page set up - which does not stay constant. Next usage finds the problem returning!
The original set up was done by a friend, who has since moved! It has to be a simple solution, but I can not find it.
Any advice would be welcome

Is the page setup set to landscape? Never heard of this before.
