Combo stores a number instead of text value

Hi,

Need to solve the following...

In Access 2003 I have a CATEGORY table with two fields... an ID field and a Description field. I setup a combo box in a form that lists all the categories and lets the user pick one and then it stores the value into a hidden field called Category. Afterwards, I run a report that prints all the tasks by Category... my problem is the Category field prints out in the report as numerical values instead of the text of the Description field from the table.... it seems the numbes are from the ID field.

How do I get it to print the descriptions instead of the numbers in the report?

Thanks in advance

In a new control on the report put the following in the Control Source

=DLookup("[Category]","Table/QueryName","[CategoryID]=" & Me.Category

This will now become the displaid field on the report. Make the original Category field invisible to hide it.
