Batch PDF merging

1
Hi all, I'm new to the forum...

I have hundreds of sets of PDFs, they are names 1,2,3...7 each in its own folder. Anyone know how ascript or a program that can take all 7 PDFs in each folder, merge them to create one PDF, and save it to a new folder (one inside the main directory)?

I will actually need to add several more PDFs into the equation, but they are all the same files, they are just tables of contents and cover sheets that are generic. I can name them anything, say 1a, 2a, 3a...7a. And it would actually need to be inserted into the final merged PDF and each sub(a) would be inserted in front of its respective numbered PDF.

Any help is greatly welcomed!
