How to call Crystal Report from Jsp

Hi all!
I want to create a report generator: The user should enter in a web page the parameters for the report (using JSP) and press 'Generate report'. As the result: the right data should be extract from the DB and a report should be generated.
I know how to create a report in the "Seagate Crystal Report". but what I need to create is a template for the report - a template that is based on the variables that the user entered in the GUI. Only the parameters are changable. but the report structure (the way it looks) should be the same.
1. How do I create a report template using the "Seagate Crystal Report", based on variables that I'll know only in runtime?
2. How do I connect the JSP with that file? I'll need the file to be located on the server's side?

thanks and regrads
