Invisible field in table

1
My main table of Access DB has 25 fields, one of which I call GID. It appears in the design mode and on any previously created form, but when I display the table or any query containing that field, it is invisible. I have run the "compress and repair" but that didn't solve the problem. The field is still there and contains all the data. I know that because I can create an expression using it that calculates correctly. How can I get it to reappear?

What is the type of this field?
Otherwise mail me the table and eventually the previously created form
