two icons in system tray

Recently reinstalled mySQL v1.4 on Win2000.

When my Win2000 OS boots up I see the mySQLadmin dialog twice, and then two icons appear in the system tray. I can kill one, and the other continues to do it's job. Tried setting the Windows mySQL service to manual startup and restarted windows - no joy.

Any idea what causes this behavior, and how to rectify it?
