How to Transfer files Automatically from a Linux Machine to a remote Windows Machine?

Dear All,

Greetings!

We are facing a situation in which we want to set-up a Cron-Job that can copy files to a Windows machine. In our setup, we are having a Linux server and Windows clients. I have gone through many threads which says one should use either FTP,SFTP or SSH utilities. However, we weren't able to implement it. Please throw light regarding the latter mentioned issue. Detailed answer would help a lot!

Thanks and Regards

Addendum:

1) Firewall on Linux-Disabled!
2) Se-Linux on Linux-Disabled!
3) Type of connection between Server and Clients-LAN Wired
4) Application Server-Apache.

I could see few options

1: You might want to re-consider setting up ftp or ssh server on windows machine. then you could use sftp or scp to transfer your files.

2: setup NFS server on windows, mount the shared folder on linux, then using simple "cp" command you should be able to transfer the files.

3: Last option would be to mount native windows share using cifs please see http://www.cyberciti.biz/tips/how-to...der-linux.html
