Oracle Database on windows 2003 server connect this db from linux desktop

Hi folks,

I have oracle 9i db in windows 2003 server and I want to connect this db from linux desktop. If anyone knows how to do, please reply or mail me to <email removed by moderator per forum policy>

Can you give some more details about which part of the manual is confusing?

It looks like Oracle created a specific section of documentation just for this:

But what actually th probelm is. Did you configure tnsnames file? If yes, do tnsping works for you?
