which one to choose LINUX or Mangement information system

hi i am doing computer engineering and in 3 semester i have to choose one subject from above two.
please give your views.

both of them are quite different from each other ... you should decide on your personal preferences. In case you are on a track (or want to be on that) that follows more an application development way then choose the MIS since it will show you the concepts of ETL, multidimensional data analysis, BI concepts etc. ... at least all that is related to MIS and you might imagine where it goes :) ... choosing linux would be good when your'e going more on a 'it-system-way' because it is 'just' an OS so that you will learn things about OSes like kernels, drivers and so on ... both of the topics are interesting and personally i would do both of them ... but in case you need to decide ... then ask yourself what you want to do later on. and then ... check out some articles for the other topic as well when you find time :)
