Can anyone tell me any linux distribution's upto 25-40 MB in size [I need an ISO image which I can burn to a CD].I want to download it from internet. So I need address of web page where I can get such a distribution. I searched it on internet [google] but ended up with no success.
If there are multiple distributions then please help me out by listing each of them.

25-40MB? Wow, that's REALLY small... A very common small distribution is DSL (Damn small Linux), but that's 50MB, other small ones are Puppy Linux (60-90MB) and Feather Linux (128MB)... I searched a little and found MuLinux, which seems to be only about 2MB (however you should also download the recommended software packages!) and TINY Linux which is about 50MB with software...
Also, I found this project called Small Linux which itself seems to be inactive, but it has Links to other projects (e.g. creating your own distribution - only recommended, if nothing else works).
By the way, all of these projects are very limited in many ways, as only very little data can be delivered. So don't judge Linux in general from these.

Tinfoil Hat Linux fits on a floppy, though it lacks both a GUI and any sort of networking support.
Also, it sounds like you're on dial-up and thus can't download the normal 700MB ISO files for a 'standard' distro. You can request a free Live CD from some of them, Ubuntu comes to mind, though it may take a while to arrive. If HD space is your real limitation, you can run off the Live CD, though it will be much slower.

Ok nepomuk, I will follow your advice and download DSL (DAMN SMALL LINUX) . It's 50 MB download will do my job probably (My job! Huh, I meant just to play around with linux for a while as I will shift to RED HAT LINUX [presentlly I'm on windoze (OOPS! I MEANT WINDOWS) XP] in a few days time.

NO LAHARL, YOU GUESSED WRONG! Neither I'm using dial-up (I have a broadband connection presently) nor I do have a lack of HD space (I have 80 GB HDD space in my hand which I suppose to be quite fulfilling to myself)
I just want to make myself accustomed to "look and feel" of linux and so I thought that downloading a small linux distribution will do my job.
Well, even then I will try my hands on TINFOIL HAT LINUX as I prefer CUI over GUI (the reason for this is I suppose that CUI is more powerful).

I just discovered this and thought of sharing this with you. SliTaz GNU/Linux. This distro fits into <30Mb of space. I'm downloading it right now and hope to end up smiling with this new distro.
And, I'm not going to leave OpenBSD by any means :) Slitaz is just for live cd purposes.

I've got exactly a 30 mb flash drive well.. 32, but with formatting the basic 3-5percent take-up its 29, so I need a uber small Linux just mainly for booting an old Samsung q1 ultra I'd like to put Kali on it I plan on using this for penetration testing but would just like to boot it to install anything else. Like Kali? Or backtrack? But I only have the 29 mb to transfer to this no cd drive tablet, so your 2mb Linux giving it a go now I've been hunting for a while and mainly posting to say thanks but if ya have Any other suggestions feel free to drop me a email or something

I'm glad my post from years ago is still useful to someone. :-) Since 2009 I'm sure some things have changed, though I haven't kept up with stuff like tiny linux distros; so keep us informed about whether this solution still works, ok?
Well, Damn Small Linux is juuuust over your size limit, but maybe something like Tiny Core Linux might work.
Mind you I haven't played with either, but hopefully that will help with your quest. :)
